En diciembre de 2017 el empresario mexicano José Antonio del Valle, creador Go Gaba –una bebida elaborada con ácido gamma-aminobutírico, “neurotransmisor de relajación natural”– firmó un convenio con Coca-Cola Company mediante el que ésta se comprometió a poner los recursos económicos y humanos para lanzar el producto al mercado internacional. Sin embargo, el joven emprendedor dice que a los cinco meses la multinacional comenzó a distribuir en Japón la Fanta Gaba por su cuenta, lo que, afirma, viola el acuerdo. El empresario, que ya interpuso dos demandas contra la compañía, narra a Proceso lo que implica ser burlado por el monstruo refresquero.

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (Proceso).- Coca-Cola Company, uno de los paradigmas empresariales del capitalismo mundial, engulle o arrasa prácticamente con todo lo que se cruza a su paso dentro del mercado refresquero global, que reporta miles de millones de dólares al año. De esta voracidad ha sido víctima ahora José Antonio del Valle, un empresario mexicano que se dice defraudado por ese emporio con sede en Atlanta, Georgia, en lo tocante a los derechos de uso de un producto de su creación, denominado Go Gaba, que despertó las ambiciones de la multinacional estadunidense a partir de la idea de “refrescar al mundo en cuerpo, mente y espíritu”.

Del Valle había logrado convencer al monstruo de las bebidas de que moviera su producto. Las reuniones de negocios se realizaron entre julio y diciembre de 2017 en las oficinas de la trasnacional en Polanco, en las cuales participó, entre otros, Manuel Arroyo Prieto, presidente de ésta en México.

Del Valle comenzó así a capitalizar su sueño de llevar Go Gaba prácticamente a todos los lugares a donde llega la marca refresquera.

Una vez convencidos del potencial de Go Gaba, los ejecutivos de la trasnacional pusieron a disposición del joven emprendedor mexicano un equipo de mercadólogos, agentes financieros y especialistas en colocación exitosa de marcas en el mercado.

Al corporativo le interesaba un producto con la fórmula desarrollada por Del Valle: un Mind-drink que contiene Gaba, catequinas y L-teanina, estos últimos extraídos del té verde, conocido por sus efectos calmantes.
